Christine Epple
(She/Her)
I recently earned my bachelor’s degree in human services from the University of Northern Iowa and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Grand View University, with an expected graduation in May 2026. My practicum experience at an inpatient mental health facility deepened my understanding of complex emotional needs and trauma-informed care. I’ve also had the privilege of supporting individuals facing mental health challenges through my role as a Family Support Specialist with Children & Families of Iowa.
I am deeply passionate about helping individuals heal from childhood trauma, experiences of domestic violence, and involvement in the criminal justice system. I approach counseling through a trauma informed lens, focusing not on “what’s wrong with you,” but rather “what happened to you.” I believe our environments shape who we are, and together, we can explore those influences and begin the healing process.
I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where clients of all ages and life stages feel empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions. Whether you're seeking clarity, healing, or personal growth, I’m here to meet you where you are. My goal is to help you discover your authentic self, establish healthy boundaries, and move toward living your best life.
Much of my insight comes from a lifetime of lived experiences and a personal journey of self-discovery. I’m a proud wife, mother of three grown children, and enjoy the love received from our two cats and our dog. I also have three grandcats! These roles have enriched my understanding of connection, resilience, and the importance of showing up fully for others. I’m honored to walk alongside you in your therapeutic journey—wherever you may be starting from.
